Havant Borough 50+ Forum
The
Havant Borough 50+ Forum
was formally launched in April 2002 by the Mayor of Havant at the request of
Local Older Residents, following an extensive two year consultation process,
led by
Age Concern
in
Havant.
The Forum is sponsored by
Hampshire County Council
Adult Services
Department (Older People) ,
Hampshire Primary
Care Trust ,
Hermitage Care and
Havant
Borough Council .
A wide variety of statutory and voluntary organisations have committed to
the Havant Borough 50+ Forum
as their recognised point of consultation with the Local Older Residents of
the
Borough of Havant.
Everyone of fifty years old and over living within the Borough as well as
their relatives, friends and carers, is encouraged to attend the public
meetings held on a regular basis throughout the Borough of Havant and to
take the opportunity of voicing their opinions and of raising awareness of
issues that matter to them, thus enabling them to influence local decision
making.
Monthly Support Group Meetings are held on the first Monday afternoon of
each month between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. at
Havant Borough Council Offices, Civic Centre Road, Havant
and any individual in the fifty plus age group, or representing older
people, is welcome to attend; all views are greatly valued.
So, if you care about the future development of services and amenities for
older people living within the Borough of Havant and if you have any matters
that you would like to be brought to the attention of those people that make
decisions on behalf of the older residents of the Borough of Havant, then
please ‘phone or write to any of the contact names.
