Dear Mr King,

As part of my legal obligations under the data protection Act, I am writing to inform you about a change that is being made to the control of data currently held about you and your business by Business Link.

Although you have requested no further contact from Business Link, we will occasionally purchase data from third party suppliers. To avoid inadvertently contacting you through such a process we continue to hold only your contact details on file so we can check it against these bought lists and continue to ensure you don’t receive anything from us in the future.

From 04/01/2010 a copy of this information will be transferred to the control of the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). The Business Link service contract has been managed for the last three years by SEEDA so this change of data control should not materially affect you, although we are legally obliged to notify you of the change.

Business Link and SEEDA will continue to ensure that information about you band your business remains confidential and is kept securely.

You do not need to take any action regarding this transfer, however should you have any questions about this please visit www.businesslink.gov.uk/southeast/crmfaq or call us on 0845 612 9410 (Local charges apply) between 9am and 5.30pm.
